CAPAIDS Uganda is a locally registered, non-profit charitable non-governmental organization dedicated to build the capacities of Self-Help Groups, CBOs, Women, Children, & Youths to Resist, Survive & Overcome Socio Economic and Health inequities and its impacts on Health, Protection, Education and Livelihood beyond Humanitarian & Development Crises in Uganda.
With our Community Centered Approach to Programming(CCAP), we partner with Grassroots Community-Based structures to drive meaningful change. We begin by thoroughly assessing the organizational and programmatic strengths and weaknesses of these CBOs & Networks. Based on this assessment, we provide tailored capacity-building support, empowering these Local entities to become effective Community Development Actors.
Our approach is grounded in a ‘learning through doing’ model, where we work closely with our dedicated partners to implement life changing community-driven projects, ensuring they gain practical experience and build their capabilities over time. As our partnerships grow and demonstrate success, we provide small grants to further enhance their capacity in sustainable Community Development. This model acknowledges the unique position of CBOs, leveraging their local knowledge, relationships, and commitment to achieve sustainable outcomes. Our work extends across various regions of Uganda, addressing the diverse needs of communities and ensuring that our interventions are relevant, effective, and sustainable.
